Three Colors: White and Red

Blue is my favorite, but these were both really good. White is mostly comic, which works well for it, but at the end takes an unwelcome dip into the realm of implausibility. But other than that, no complaints. Red is a close second to Blue, perhaps not hitting quite as hard because Irene Jacob isn’t as compelling as Juliette Binoche. And the way the three stories get all tied together at the end is a bit cheap, much less elegant than Decalogue. Rating: 7 (White); 8 (Red)
