Harakiri

Posted by martinteller on January 12, 2006

Another excellent Kobayashi film, this one tearing down old notions of samurai honor.  Lots of marvelous camera movement and dynamic lighting.  To compare it to the Human Condition trilogy, I liked it more than part 2 or 3, but not as much as 1.  Rating: 9

Just read a great review of this film on Letterboxd and wanted to see your opinion…. I’ve overlooked this one for far too long and not sure why.
