I Love You, Man

Posted by martinteller on June 26, 2010

I just never know what to say about these Apatow-universe comedies (I don’t know if Apatow actually had anything at all to do with this movie, but even if he didn’t, it’s certainly in his style).  They’re fine, they’re pleasant, they’ve got some laughs.  Characters are believable and reasonably likable.  None of the situations seem too forced.  But they’re so… nondescript.  It’s really weird to imagine that this is someone’s favorite movie (or even favorite comedy), but it probably is.  Well, as I said, I dunno what to say.  It was a decent way to pass the time.  Paul Rudd is very good at being awkward in a completely non-freakish way.  Rating: 7
