The Village

I kept blissfully spoiler-free for this, so I enjoyed it more than my wife, who couldn’t help herself from reading spoilers.  I liked it about as much as Unbreakable… which is to say, not as much as Sixth Sense but better than Signs.  I certainly don’t think it deserves all the bad reviews it’s getting.  However, once you start mulling over the premise, you begin to see a lot of holes.  But many of them can be explained away by supposing that the villagers just aren’t very bright.  Rating: 7
