GoodFellas (rewatch)

Yay, my first HD-DVD movie!  It’s a good thing this is a film I’ve seen about 7-8 times, because a lot of the time I was going “ooooh” at the level of detail on the screen instead of paying attention.  Although I must admit I’m a little disappointed.  I don’t know exactly what I expected to see, but it didn’t knock my socks off.  I kinda wish I’d waited for the next price drop, it seems like a pretty minor upgrade for $500 (plus $100 for the damn HDMI-to-DVI cable).  I guess I’m glad I bought it while Circuit City still had their “get 5 free movies” deal going on, but I probably won’t receive them for months, and there were only two on the list I really wanted anyway.  Oh well, it’s been ages since I’ve been an “early adopter” of anything, so at least I’ve got bragging rights.

As for GoodFellas… it still kicks ass, obviously.  Rating: 10
